White Gables is a beautiful old town house nestled in the heart of the Heritage town of Kells, Co. Meath, only 1 hour from Dublin. The house is run by Gemma McGowan who has has the joy and privilege of living and growing up in White Gables for the last 28 years. Gemma has many years experience in tourism and hospitality and offers her guests the warmest of welcomes and the best in local fare. White Gables is strategically placed within walking distance of all amenities, with private parking facilities and garden for guests use.

Tours

White Gables is an excellent base from which to tour all the wonders of the Boyne Valley, including Newgrange, Loughcrew, The Hill of Tara, Trim Castle and of course Kells itself, the original home of the world renowned Book of Kells.

Gemma, with her extensive local knowledge is delighted to offer a personalised tour guide service to groups. Itineries and rates are available on request.

Gemma works closely with renowned authors Janet Farrar and Gavin Bone to bring you their exciting blend of mystical touring and intensive workshops. This is a truely unique experience for the Spiritual adventurer combining Celtic mythology and mysticism with a deeper historical and spiritual insight into the plethora of sacred sites that surround us here in the wonderous Royal County. Delicious homemade evening meals are also available for groups of four or more, though must be booked in advance of arrival. All dietary requirements catered for.

Cookery Classes: If you love the food at White Gables, which we are sure you will, then you'll be delighted to know that Gemma and her mum Penny, a renowned local cook of great standing, have teamed up to offer day or weekend packages for the avid learner cook. Penny's cuisine has thrilled the people of Meath for nearly 30 years and if you and maybe a group of your friends want to throw off your cookey L plates and learn how to dazzle and delight your family and friends with sumptuous starters, magical mains and delectible desserts then look no further. Traditional fireside evening of music and song can also be arranged for groups, allowing visitors a truly authentic Irish experience in the comfortable surroundings of White Gables.
